Sharing my gifts

A significant part of my photography work is creating work that allow me to give back to underserved or marginalized communities. Every year I create a project that I sell. The profits from those projects are donated to invest in these communities. Below are the organizations that have been supported by these projects. Through my life so many have supported me. It’s my responsibility to pay it forward.

2023

In 2023 I published a book based on the year I spent living in Colombia and Mexico. The profits from the sale of this book were donated to Ministerios de Amor and Sembradores de la 13 (pictured left). Both organizations support underserved children in Mexico and Colombia , respectively. Donations totaled over $2,300. Sembradores used the funds to make much needed upgrades to their soccer pitch.

2022

2022 saw Women’s rights come under assault with the overturning of Dobbs. I published a book of street photography featuring images primarily from New York. Profits from the sale of this book were donated to Planned Parenthood to support critical healthcare services, and to Black Girls Code to support the creation of opportunities for girls. Donations totaled over $2,100.

2021

In 2021 I published a book of images that documented 2020’s COVID pandemic. During 2020 we saw heroic acts from essential workers, first responders and medical personnel. The modest profits from this book were donated to organizations that support first responders.
